New Tools for Illustrator
Adobe introduces new Generative AI tools to Illustrator, bringing more speed to creative tasks. The new Firefly Vector AI model is available and supports features such as Generative Shape Fill, which allows users to add detailed vectors via prompts. Also, Text to Pattern creates custom patterns and Style Reference mirrors existing styles.
New Features in Photoshop
Photoshop gains Generate Image, supported by Firefly Image 3, which improves image sharpness and detail. The Selection Brush tool makes it easy to select and separate objects, making the process simpler and faster for users.
Updates in Illustrator
In addition to Generative AI capabilities, Illustrator is updated with the Dimension tool for adding dimensions to projects, the Mockup feature for previewing designs in 3D products, and Retype for editing static text into images. These updates are aimed at giving users more tools to optimize their work.
Education and Creative Empowerment
Adobe emphasizes that Firefly models are trained on licensed content and customer projects will not be used to train AI. Despite some professionals' concerns about the automation of work, the company points out that its goal is to enhance creativity and human expression, not replace them.
